Bell Bottoms Day

Bell Bottoms Day is observed annually on April 5^th to celebrate a very famous fashion trend.

Flared or bellows below the knee, bell bottoms were popular among many in the 60s and 70s, and the bigger the bell, the better. Once worn by sailors, the TV show Sonny and Cher helped popularize the wide leg pants. Usually made of denim, cotton or polyester, men and women often wear flats to keep their trousers from dragging on the floor.

So, in honor of the occasion, why not dust off those old flared pants that were stashed (i.e. hidden) in the attic, put on a plaid polyester shirt, and go back in time for the sake of your old time? Tomorrow back to skinny jeans and t-shirts.
