Genealogy

A genealogy book prepared carefully, according to custom, accurately...will have many important meanings not only for the clan but also for the whole village of the country. When the lineage did not have a genealogy, everything about ancestors, family traditions, people, events... just based on memories and legends, it was very easy to "three stars seven copies", leading to a complete cessation.

The family line has no pedigree, called the missing family line, and their descendants cannot imagine to properly promote the accumulated tradition of the ancestors in the clan; when enjoying, inheriting materially (land, house) or spiritually (talent, profession, esoteric…), they also do not understand where and where the things they have inherited come from. Therefore, it is difficult to be sustainable and develop.

Genealogy Day is celebrated every year on March 16 as a reminder to people of their roots, origins and family tree.

Genealogy is a branch of historical science. The events of the country were recorded by history books, the events of families and clans were recorded by genealogy. The object of genealogy is the family and the lineage.

Genealogy has a relationship and interaction with the human sciences. Genealogy appeared in the West and the East from time immemorial.

Genealogy is an ancient discipline of the world. The Western term for genealogy is "Genealogy". The term is derived from Greek: genera is "generation" which means generation, logos is "speech", "an opinion", "knowledge" means word, thought, and doctrine. "Genealogy" is the study of the history of families and clans.

The term "genealogy" is a Sino-Vietnamese word. "Phá" also known as "Prussia", is just a notebook for taking notes. The word "Pho" also means to display or record order. In short, according to Chinese characters, "Gia" 家 means house, and "Phá" 譜 means entering, copying. According to the Sino-Vietnamese dictionary of Dao Duy Anh, the genealogy is the book that records the history of the ancestors in the family. According to the Asian understanding, Genealogy is a book that records continuously from generation to generation the names of ancestors and descendants of a family or family.

Genealogy is the study of genealogy. Through genealogy, one knows the full range of families and individuals within those families. The purpose of Genealogy is the objective and comprehensive study of individuals' ancestors and descendants, their kinship relationships, and their physical, intellectual and moral differences surname.

Genealogy is both a support for many human sciences and a study with its own objects and methods.

The object of genealogy is the family and the lineage. Genealogy is a reflection of family and lineage. Therefore, first of all, it is necessary to thoroughly understand the family and the lineage.

The family is a particular social institution, a small social group whose members are bound together by marriage, blood or adoption relationships, by community in activities, moral responsibility to each other to meet the unique needs of each member as well as to carry out the lineage.

Families can be divided into two categories:

• Large families (three-generation families or extended families) are generally considered to be traditional families in relation to the past type of family. It is a group of blood relatives of several generations living together under one roof, often three or more generations, of course, in its scope, there are also blood relatives from the secondary line.

• Small family (two-generation family or nuclear family) is a group of people expressing the relationship of husband and wife with children, or also the relationship of a wife or husband with children.

Many individuals form a Family, many families form a Family.

The family line consists of many families with the same blood relation and ancestral origin. Family lineage is a special socio-historical phenomenon of humanity.

Family – the lineage is the subject of Genealogy. Family – the lineage comes first, the genealogy comes after. The content of the family – the lineage is reflected in the genealogy. A deeper understanding of family and lineage ensures high quality genealogy research and practice.

A genealogy can be thought of as a history of a family or a lineage. Country has History, House has Pha, History is to record the events of the country, Pha is to record the ups and downs of a clan. Genealogy differs from history in that it is only used within a family, a family line, while History includes all the events or actions of many people in many different families but closely related to the country.

c. Prediction function: On the basis of identifying the current state of the family line and using predictive theories, genealogists will describe the prospect of family movement in the near future as well as the future.

d. Management function: First of all, it should be made clear right away that genealogy is not a management science, but one thing is for sure that all social, administrative or human resource management activities become only minimal. History of Genealogy Day

Christ Church, United Presbyterian and Methodist in Limerick, Ireland were the first to establish Genealogy Day in 2013. Genealogy Day was created to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the church of Christ. Local family history records have been assembled at Christ church not only from its own incorporated churches but also from Church Ireland parishes in the area, including the Friends Religious Association. in Ireland (Quaker) and the Church of Latter-day Saints (Mormon).

Attendees can then use accumulated marriage and baptism records from the early 1800s, such as the Limerick Methodist Register and the Limerick Presbyterian Register, to learn about their great-grandparents surname.

The idea has become so popular that the day has been repeated for two years in a row and has inspired many people to review their family tree to learn more about where they came from.
