National Prom Day

March 31 is recognized as National Prom Day. This is a day to honor friendships, cherish memories, celebrate history, and enjoy the joy and excitement this important event has to offer.

National Prom Day was known as a special holiday to celebrate this special moment in every teen's life. As we know, teen’s life is a time not only filled with fashion, joy, and friendship, but also where safety, peer pressure, and insecurity can sometimes go along with it. That's why it's so important to build a community that fosters confidence, empowerment, individuality and inner beauty as we celebrate young adults around the world.

Students Against Sabotage Decisions (SADD) is proud to endorse by National Prom Day, an organization that shares common values ​​and is a long time champion of youth education. SADD has expanded its mission to include substance abuse, violence, body image, suicide, depression, bullying and more again, besides SADD's core focus remains on road safety.

History of World Prom Day

Prom Girl established National Prom Day in 2016 to celebrate generations of proms passed, fashion, joy, and friendship and to look forward to the proms ahead of us. For more information, visit nationalpromday.org.

In its first year, compliance recognized SADD's efforts with a donation for each sale of promgirl.com and promguy.com on March 31. Throughout the following years, their efforts continued to promote with the Garden of Dreams donation program.

In 2016, the Registry at the National Day Calendar® announced the date to be observed as March 31 of each year.
