• How many days until National Take Down the Christmas Tree Day?
Christmas is over. Some of us may have been thinking about removing our Christmas decorations, including a Christmas tree, while others might delay as removing all decorations could be costly a lot of time. While there isn't really time to put down your Christmas tree, there are some days that have become traditional days to pack all the holiday decorations.
According to Melissa Dunlap on SheKnows.com, it’s believed that there are three perfect dates using to take down a Christmas tree:
December 31st, January 5, and January 6.
Some people said that it would be portent in the New Year if you cut down your Christmas tree after midnight on December 31. If you are superstitious, you may have to cut down the tree before midnight on New Year's Eve to avoid any bad luck in the next year.
January 5 is considered the 12th day of Christmas, so some people use this as a way to reach an end to the Christmas season. The men cut their trees on January 6 to watch the Christian Epiphany, a day that marked the revelation of God in human form, Jesus Christ. Whether you watch one of these two holidays or cut trees to avoid a superstitious New Year, the Christmas tree felling is the perfect time to reflect on your year and the future ahead. While it can be very sad when you have to remove all the lights and decorations, you will have a chance to set up another beautiful Christmas tree next year.
How to celebrate National Take Down the Christmas Tree Day
Take down your Christmas tree! The creator of this day, Jace Shoemaker-Galloway, proposed turning it into an event by inviting family or friends over to help you and offering them appetizers and cocktails. If you have a real tree, let recycle it for wildlife.
